Our Wilmington Mission Trip is something new for DCPC Youth! We will be headed to the city of Wilmington, NC to serve in a variety of local ministries including soup kitchens and home repair. This trip is organized by Vigilant Hope, a longtime youth-focused mission trip ministry that has worked in Wilmington for years and established great local relationships. This is a great way to serve a population hit hard by the recent hurricanes!
When July 7-13, 2019
Who Can Go Middle & high schoolers (current 6th to 12th graders)
Fee $250
Financial Assistance We do not want this fee to be an obstacle to anyone who wants to go. DCPC’s Journey Fund is in place to help pay for trips like this. Click here to find out more and apply to the Journey Fund for assistance.
Next Steps To get on the list, pay a $50 deposit by February 28th. The payment can be made in the church office by check or online (be sure to add “Wilmington MT Deposit” in the memo field). Balance due by March 31st.
Minimums Unlike our conference trips, this is a new trip for us and therefore kind of an experiment. In order to do this trip, we will require a minimum of 5 youth and 1 female leader signed up by February 28th to make this trip possible. All fees will be refunded if we do not reach our minimum.
Cancellations DCPC will be making payments to Vigilant Hope in advance of the actual trip which often makes it impossible to recoup fees in the case of cancellation. In other words: we will do our best but can’t make any promises.
