Youth Sunday is an annual tradition at DCPC where our 6th-12th graders take over the planning and leading for morning worship once a year. This valuable experience helps our youth to own their faith in new ways and we always look forward to it. Here are the details for this year’s Youth Sunday on April 29th, 2018:
Important Times We begin practicing in the Sanctuary at 8 am. New for this year: youth are leading both the 9:45 and 11 am services, both of which are in the Sanctuary.
Breakfast Want to help feed everyone? Click this link to find out what we’re looking for.
What to Wear Most youth and adults will opt to wear a DCPC Youth t-shirt with jeans or khakis, but it’s not necessary to have a DCPC Youth shirt to participate! Feel free to wear something red or gray if you are looking for another option. The biggest thing is that, as leaders in worship, we want to make sure the focus is on Jesus, not us. A good rule of thumb is to stay in your school’s dress code.
Practice Any of the great stuff that we say will not matter unless we say it clearly and slowly. Feel free to refer to this worship script to practice before Sunday!
No Youth Group We will not be having Youth Group on April 29th, but join us for the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on May 6th!
DCPC Youth T-Shirts We only have a few sizes left: XS, L, XL, & XXL. Contact Matt if you want one!
