Everyone loves a good story and we all want to live a good story. We often think it’s our plans that determine the quality of our story, but when we look a little closer we realize it’s our values that enable us to tell a story that’s worth retelling. So how do we know we’ve picked the right values to live by? This series will explore our ministry’s values and share practical ways to make them part of our everyday lives as well.

What are you looking forward to most this Christmas? Gifts? Great food? Family harmony? Christmas is such a big celebration that we often have high expectations of ourselves and others. In this 2-week series, we’ll be talking all things Christmas, focusing on how we can shift our eyes away from the high expectations we have for the holiday season and instead focus on the true hope, peace, and love that only come from Christ.

Main_ThroughTheDarkness_XP3HSThrough the Darkness | 1/6, 1/13, & 1/7
Have you ever turned on the news only to wish you hadn’t? Or answered a phone call only to wish you could un-hear the news on the other end? Whether it’s a global disaster, a school shooting, your parents’ divorce, or the death of a friend, there’s nothing fun about tragedy. It can make us feel like we’re walking around in total darkness—where nothing seems quite right and there are more questions than answers. At some point, we‘ll all find ourselves in or around a tragedy, but being there doesn’t mean we have to stay there. There’s a way through the darkness to the other side, to healing— and we’ll get there by trusting the One who is leading us.

Sticky Faith LogoSticky Faith |11th & 12th Grades | 1/7, 1/13, 1/27, 2/24, 3/3, & 3/10
Research has shown that almost half of high schoolers who were active in their churches and youth ministries end up walking away from the church after graduation. Sticky Faith aims to share with students a Gospel that is too powerful to want to walk away from by thinking through the situations and relationships they can expect after high school and exploring how their faith can prepare them.

I Have Questions | 3/10 & 4/28
This series is a little bit different because, even though there are 2 weeks, they’re separate topics. On 3/10 we’re talking about race and how, because of Jesus, we can be one even though we’re not the same. On 4/28 we’ll look at self-harm and how hiding can grow harm but honestly can help us heal.

Main_BackToLife_XP3HSBack to Life | 3/31 & 4/7
When life gets hard and things don’t turn out the way we hoped, it’s easy to believe that God is distant and that our story is over. But Easter reminds us that just the opposite is true. Through Easter we’ll discover that Jesus is a God who isn’t distant and hasn’t abandoned us. In fact, God’s always working to bring our stories back to life.
