We are very excited about this weekend though and hope you are too! Here’s what you need to know:
Fasting by Choice While we’re only serving one meal (Saturday dinner), no one will be prevented from drinking juice, eating bread, or eating other food that they bring. We hope everyone will step out of their comfort zones, but no adults will be monitoring food/juice intake. We will be encouraging frequent hydration though!
Arrival starts at 7 pm! Look for the DCPC Bus in the library parking lot and drop all your luggage there. Then head inside DCPC and go to the Parlor to check-in (go in the door on Concord Rd. with the ramp, turn left at the main hallway, and head down to the end of the hall; the Parlor is on the left side across the hall from Lingle Chapel).
Pick Up is after DUMC’s Saturday evening worship service at 7 pm. Parents can meet children at DUMC’s chapel.
We’re Teaching This Sometimes following God feels a little complicated. With so many rules to remember, prayers to pray, and guidelines for how we’re supposed to live, it’s
easy for it all to feel overwhelming. In this series, as we look at how Jesus kept faith simple, we’ll see that it’s really all about doing one thing—the greatest thing. The Greatest Commandment helps us to have conversations instead of creating categories for people and it helps us to stay connected to God.
