New Series: Subject to Change

We are undoubtedly living in strange times and the changes are happening faster than we can process sometimes. But that’s not just true during a pandemic. In this life, there’s one thing we all have in common: change. No matter who we are, where we come from, or how much we run from it, change is bound to happen in all of our lives. In this series, we’ll discover that although so many things in life are subject to change, God isn’t.

Here’s what we’re talking about and when:

  • Week 1 (May 3) In the first week of our new series, we’ll be talking about the fact that change happens to all of us—and can happen at any time. Life can be going along just as planned when something unexpected happens that completely changes and rearranges everything. So what should we do in those moments?
  • Week 2 (May 17) When life is subject to change, it’s only a matter of time before those changes bring disappointment or letdowns. But when faced with that kind of change, what can we do to move forward? In this week we’ll see that even when life changes, God never makes us move forward alone.
  • Week 3 (May 31) Believe it or not, not all change is bad. In fact, there are some changes we know will make our lives better, but for some reason, we still struggle to make them happen. What if there was a better way to make those changes happen in our lives? Well, there is. As we wrap up this series, James reminds us that sometimes the first step to making change happen is changing the way we see it.

* – The MS Parent Cue is for a series called Rooted, which is the MS version of Subject to Change. Both series are extremely similar so we are combining them for simplicity’s sake this month.
