On Sunday October 4th, DCPC Youth will be diving into a hot topic: how do we argue well? Obviously it’s easy to be right, but is being right all that matters? Maybe there’s more to arguing well then getting your point across. Or as Ruth Bader Ginsburg put it, “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” If that quote echoes for you, we have some good news: Jesus’ example of loving others led James, a leader in the early church, to offer some timely wisdom to his friends and followers nearly 2,000 years ago. And it’s still advice we need today!
Parents: you can join in on the conversation and continue it at home by downloading a Parent Cue! Each Parent Cue will clue you in to what we’re talking about it, equip you with some ideas on how the topic is landing with your kids, and give you some ideas for things to say or do at those key points throughout the day when connection happens best.
