About Me
Mary Muchane has been a member at DCPC since 1999 and has served in Sunday School, Youth Group and DCPC’s Global Missions partnership with Sigona Presbyterian in Kikuyu, Kenya. Mary and her husband, Mur, live in Davidson and they have two sons, Michael and Mark. Michael graduated from Wake Forest University and works with a tech company in the San Francisco area. Mark is an 12th grader at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, NC. A geologist by training, Mary started her education in Nairobi, received her masters from the University of Sheffield, and her doctorate from Duke University. She worked for several years as an environmental scientist and now directs the Office of Grants and Contracts at Davidson College, a position she has held since 2005.
